DAS TEAM
Judith Büthe is a photographer, journalist, and concept designer specializing in social documentary photography, portraits, and reportage. Her work is created through close encounters with others – with the aim of making social realities visible. She lives in Bochum and
works internationally, especially in the cultural sector, for
NGOs and social projects.
After training with photographer Horst Wackerbarth, she studied photojournalism at the Free School of Journalism in Berlin. Since 2011, she has worked for NGOs, magazines, and publishers, focusing on social change, culture, and socioeconomic issues.
Her work has received numerous awards and been exhibited throughout Europe – including in the German Bundestag, the Kunstpalast Düsseldorf and the European Parliament.
